Tape is identified by the following:

The carrier—polypropylene or PVC—is the backing material of the tape. PVC is hand-tearable and a premium backing, whereas polypropylene requires a dispenser and is more commonly used for general purposes.
The adhesive – acrylic, hot melt, or Solvent, is the part that makes it stick! Certain adhesives are better for certain atmospheres or temperatures.
The core size – 76mm core.

Acrylic

Acrylic is excellent for customers looking for a high-quality, economical option. These are the cheapest 66m rolls we sell as part of our standard range, providing quality products at the most competitive prices.

Carrier: polypropylene (for use with a dispenser)
Adhesive: water-based acrylic (operating temperature +15°C to +65°C)
Core size: 76mm

Hot Melt

This is the best tape for sealing boxes that are to be stored or transported in environments with a low average temperature (+18°C to +30°C).
