Description

Galvanised Armco Barrier Internal Corner L – 500mm

The Armco Barrier Internal Corner L allows a crash barrier run to turn inward while maintaining continuous protection at inside angles — typical of car park layouts, building perimeters and industrial site boundaries where a barrier wraps around a structure. Finished with hot-dip galvanising for corrosion resistance, it’s built for long-term outdoor and indoor use alongside the rest of an Armco barrier system.

Key Specifications

  • Length: 500mm
  • Type D — adds 294mm from the end post
  • Finish: Galvanised
  • Weight: 10kg

What It’s Used For

  • Forming inside angles in Armco crash barrier runs
  • Car parks, loading bays and building perimeters
  • Warehouses and distribution centres with inward-turning barrier layouts
  • Industrial sites requiring continuous barrier protection around inside corners

Internal vs External Corners

An internal corner section is used where a barrier run turns inward — wrapping around the inside of a structure or obstacle — as opposed to an external corner, which turns outward. Choosing the right corner type keeps the barrier’s protective face consistently oriented toward vehicle traffic through the turn.

Installation

This corner section fits standard Armco barrier beams and is fixed using lap bolts (available separately). It’s suitable for new barrier installations and can be retrofitted into existing runs where a layout is being extended or altered.

Armco Barrier Internal Corner FAQs

What is an Armco Barrier Internal Corner used for?

It’s used to form an inside angle in a crash barrier run, allowing the barrier to turn inward while keeping continuous protection along vehicle routes.

What does “Type D” mean?

Type D refers to this corner configuration, which adds 294mm of length from the end post — distinguishing it from other corner types with different post offsets.

What’s the difference between an internal and external corner?

An internal corner turns the barrier run inward around a structure or obstacle, while an external corner turns it outward. Choosing correctly keeps the barrier’s protective face oriented toward oncoming vehicle traffic.

Is this suitable for outdoor use?

Yes — the galvanised finish provides strong corrosion resistance, making it suitable for both outdoor and indoor barrier installations.
