E-Tape

E-Tape is a premium, high performance and hugely popular brand. A key feature is a small core and big roll length – up to 150 metres! Others typically provide only 66 metres so that’s nearly three times the amount of tape per roll.

E-Tape is available in clear and buff (brown) with a choice of 2 inches (48mm) and 3 inches (72mm)

E-Tape Packaging Tape – Premium Long Roll Carton Sealing Tape

E-Tape is a premium, high-performance packaging tape designed for businesses that need reliable carton sealing and greater efficiency in their packing operations. One of the standout features of E-Tape is its extended roll length of up to 150 metres, compared with the standard 66 metres found on most packing tapes. This means fewer roll changes, improved productivity, and better value for money.

Unlike standard tapes supplied on a 76mm core, E-Tape’s long rolls are manufactured on a 50mm core, allowing more tape per roll while reducing material use. This design helps lower costs, minimise downtime during packing, and reduce environmental impact.

E-Tape is widely used in warehousing, e-commerce fulfilment, logistics, and general packaging environments where consistent sealing performance is essential.

Understanding Packaging Tape

Packaging tape is identified by three key components:

The Carrier (Backing Material)

The carrier is the backing material that gives the tape its strength and durability.

  • Polypropylene (PP) – The most common backing material for general packaging tape. It provides excellent strength and is typically used with a tape dispenser.
  • PVC – A premium backing that is hand-tearable and quieter, often used in higher-end applications.

All E-Tape products in this range use polypropylene backing, making them ideal for high-volume packing environments using tape dispensers.

The Adhesive

The adhesive determines how well the tape sticks and how it performs in different environments. Different adhesives are designed for different temperatures, storage conditions, and packaging requirements.

The Core Size

Most standard packaging tapes are supplied on a 76mm core. However, E-Tape’s extended 150m rolls use a 50mm core, allowing more tape per roll while reducing cardboard usage and improving sustainability.

Types of 48mm E-Tape Packaging Tape

Our 48mm (2 inch) wide E-Tape range includes three adhesive types to suit different packaging environments and temperature conditions.

Acrylic Packaging Tape

Acrylic tape is the most economical option in our E-Tape range, making it ideal for customers looking for a cost-effective yet reliable packaging solution. These tapes provide excellent clarity, good long-term adhesion, and strong sealing performance, making them perfect for everyday packaging tasks.

Acrylic tapes are particularly suited for general warehouse use, e-commerce packing, and carton sealing in stable temperature environments.

Specifications

  • Carrier: Polypropylene (for use with a dispenser)
  • Adhesive: Water-based acrylic
  • Operating temperature: +15°C to +65°C
  • Core size: 50mm

Hot Melt Packaging Tape

Hot melt adhesive tape offers strong initial grab and excellent sealing performance, making it a great choice for fast-paced packing environments. It performs particularly well when cartons need to be sealed quickly and handled soon after packing.

This tape is best suited for boxes that will be stored or transported in environments with lower average temperatures, helping maintain reliable adhesion during transit and storage.

Specifications

  • Carrier: Polypropylene (for use with a dispenser)
  • Adhesive: Hot melt
  • Operating temperature: +15°C to +50°C
  • Core size: 50mm

Solvent Packaging Tape

Solvent adhesive tape is the most versatile option in the E-Tape range, offering excellent performance across a wide temperature range. It performs reliably in both ambient and chilled environments, making it ideal for cold storage, refrigerated transport, and demanding shipping conditions.

Solvent tapes are also low-noise when unwinding, making them a popular choice for workplaces where quieter packing operations are preferred.

Specifications

  • Carrier: Polypropylene (for use with a dispenser)
  • Adhesive: Solvent
  • Operating temperature: -20°C to +50°C
  • Core size: 50mm

Why Choose E-Tape?

  • Up to 150 metres per roll – over twice the length of standard packing tape
  • Fewer roll changes, improving packing efficiency
  • 50mm core reduces material use and environmental impact
  • Multiple adhesive types for different temperatures and applications
  • Ideal for warehouses, fulfilment centres, logistics operations, and e-commerce packing
